Renumbering classes can be applied at any stage of your event process.
There are 2 options; you can manually renumber a class by editing the individual class and entering the new class number, or you can renumber all classes in bulk.
Steps to run bulk Class Renumbering
- Go to your chosen Show Event > Open Classes
- Click on the 'Renumber Classes' tab
- From the Renumber Options, choose a Numbering System
Choices are
- Number classes continously through the Show
- Start numbering from 1 in each Category
- Start numbering from 1 in each Section
- You can leave Spaces between the category or sections, to allow you add late classes at a later point.
- You can Start at a multiple of any number. For example, use 10 if you want all new categories to start at a multiple of 10
- You can add a Prefix to the start of the class number - Use the set of letters of the section or category as a prefix to the class number.
- You can set how many prefix letters from the category name should generate as the Prefix to the class number.
- If you only require one section renumbered, you can Freeze all other sections when you run the renumbering.
- Take your time with this as once the renumbering is run, it cannot be reversed.
- Click Execute Numbering at the bottom of the screen to run the renumbering of classes, allow a few seconds for this to complete
- you will be asked to Type RENUMBER to proceed
- When SuperShow has run the renumbering, you will be returned to the Classes list and see the success message, Classes renumbered! in a green bar at the top of the screen.
NB: We do suggest that the class renumbering is carefully considered before running the execution of the class renumbering.
Consider: Have the class numbers gone to print? Have I correctly selected the right sections to freeze?
You can renumber classes as many times as you like.
