If you wish to redirect a page to another webpage or specific URL, there is a field on the page's SETTINGS tab.
Choose the page to redirect > go to the Settings tab > enter the redirect link > choose if open in new tab required
Enter the full URL (beginning with http:// or https://) or a relative URL (beginning with a /).
- A full URL should include the HTTP:// or HTTPS://
- A relative URL is a URL to a page WITHIN THE SITE, therefore you do not need to enter the domain name again. This is very helpful, especially when changing your site from the staging site to your live site, as if you use a staging site URL, this will not work once you go live, as regular people do not have access to the staging sites.
Some Typical Uses of Page Redirects
- Ticketing on a third party site
- Some Ticket providers do not provide an embed code, so you could have to use an external link for Tickets.
- Any Third Party Materials
- If your event has documentation that is hosted on another website, you could need to use the redirect link
When using a third party application, we do recommend that you list your website URL on it to link back to your site, so your Site Visitor can return to your main website easily.
Similiarly, if you open the redirect link in a new tab, your visitor will keep your website open.
