Using the Business Category feature will improve the search options for your Trade Directory, and give you a better indication of your applicant types at a glance.
A list of business categories can be custom built by you, to meet your event's preferences. When enabled on the Trade Stand settings as part of the trade application questions, your applicants will need to choose from your pre-populated options.
To Build your Business Category List
- Go to your Show Event > open the Business Categories module
- Click Add or Edit an existing category
- From the Identification Tab, enter a Title - this is display in the dropdown list when the applicant is choosing the category
- Set the position in the array of category options in the dropdown
- Set it to Visible or Hidden
- Give a Short Description - this will be visible to trade applicants when applying, after choosing the category, to help them to confirm their choice
- Complete the Description of the category - this will be visible to trade applicants when applying, after choosing the category, to help them to confirm their choice
- To enable a new category/update an existing category to another event on your site, please select from the Available Events tab and select the events to apply this category to.
