Please be aware of these changes since June 2023;
14 November 2023: Update on the 'Finishing' of the 2023 event and the opening of the 2024 event;
The ‘finishing’ of one event, and the copying of the event to create a new event, will be released in the next week.
We have been spending a substantial amount of time testing the closing of an event and opening of the next event, improving some items as per our last feedback session, and we are happy with the progress, however, it will be next week when we can release it for all shows.
To prepare to open the 2024 event, please make sure all your data on the 2023 event is complete; results, orders, entries, applications.
All Web Pages are free to update at any time, as many of you have done already, they will not change. Make sure that you have no text references to last year’s show info, as that is now dated information.
Once the next update is released, you should allow time to familiarise yourself with the new features. A follow-up meeting online will cover any queries that might arise and the Help Site will have additional information and videos. The date for the follow-up meeting will be confirmed in the next week.
IMPORTANT REGARDING ‘Finishing’ an Event.
Once a show is marked as 'finished', you cannot edit the past entries, results, applications, and orders associated with the finished event.
The classes, categories, prizes, trade settings, sponsors, judges, and business types can be copied across to your next event, BEFORE ‘finishing’ the last event, to create the new event.
All Web Pages will stay the same.
Terms (system page) will be included in the archive

31 July 2023: PRIZES - we are investigating an issue with Prize Types, where the prize type is showing the ID instead of the prize type title. This is currently affecting some of the payout report totals, so please bear with us while we update this issue. 02 August 2023: This issue is now resolved. You will need to review your Prizes that were not using the allowed prize types.
25 July 2023 21:00 - Bulk Entry Upload Error: 500 error when uploading the file. This is being investigated by our development team and we expect will be resolved by 19:00 26 July 2023. UPDATE: This was resolved at 18:00 on 26 July.
(June/July 2023) Stripe Payments marked as Pending Payment: some orders may come through as Pending Payment when the order has been debited from the customer's account. You can check this by opening the TRANSACTIONS list and you can see if the order is paid or actually pending. The Stripe API (gateway) and the Dotser team are working on a solution for this.
(June 2023) 26th - 27th June - WARNING
If you are using the default mail server, noreply@dotser.ie, there was an outage of the email from approx 23:00 26th June 2023 until 01:45 on 27th June 2023.
The shared default email server was over quota temporarily. This has been resolved as of 01:45. No emails were sent between these times, from your website. UPDATE: PLEASE CHECK ALL PAYMENTS MADE AT THIS TIME - THEY MAY BE DISPLAYING AS 'PENDING PAYMENT' when they are actually PAID. We do recommend you use your own SMTP service for sending outgoing emails. The service has been restored for now. Your default outgoing server email address is now noreply_isa@dotser.ie
(June2023 ) EXHIBITORS without addresses
Some entrants will have been able to enter without providing their full postal address. To resolve this, you can (a) ask the Exhibitor to log back in and update their account profile details, or (b) you can update their profile as Show Admin. This will automatically update your catalogue output.
(May 2023) NEW BUTTON IN CART
Add more class entries button in cart - Commerce > Settings > General > Tick box to add button
(May 2023) EDITING CONTENT: (How to Save space)
When editing your PDF Schedule/Catalogues, please note that using the ENTER key will make the page give one full paragraph break. A better option, to save space, would be to use SHIFT and ENTER, which will only skip a line, and not a full paragraph!
(April 2023) NEW USERS / ROLES
All Show Admins can now assign roles to users > Administration > Users > Search & Find > Assign role
(April 2023) EMAIL TEMPLATES
Review your Email Templates and edit the content so that the exhibitors are informed with as much information at the time of entry, or trade application, as can be given at the time of entry. Turn on or off what automatic emails you need
